Support in Grief offers expertise and compassion, ensuring that every individual navigating grief receives tailored support and guidance .
I am a Bereavement Consultant with over 20 years of experience supporting children, young people, and adults through grief and loss. My work is rooted in compassion, early intervention, and a deep understanding of how bereavement affects people at every stage of life.
Alongside my NHS role as a Children and Young Person Bereavement Counsellor, I run my own service, Support in Grief, where I offer one-to-one counselling for individuals aged 4 to 18, as well as for adults and families. Sessions can take place face-to-face or online, depending on what feels most comfortable and accessible.
I tailor each session to the individual’s emotional and developmental needs, using a wide range of therapeutic approaches. I also provide clinical supervision for other counsellors and deliver training to schools, healthcare teams, and parents to help them support those who are grieving.
My background includes many years in specialist NHS bereavement services, as well as earlier roles in midwifery and palliative care. I’m a BACP-accredited therapist and supervisor, with qualifications in counselling, systemic family practice, and supervision.
